--- Hi Everyone, This is just a reminder of our first volunteering event this coming Saturday. Volunteers will have an orientation session at the Bridge Building at 9am so please plan accordingly to be there on time.
Just a few notes:
- Operation Care is a Christian-based organization so we are thankful for everyone who wants to help but please participate only if you're not offended by such service. We will be handing out Bibles and other Christian-based material as well as clothing and food items.
- If you plan to volunteer with us, we are very grateful and ask you to please indicate that you're "GOING" on the Facebook Event page here http://www.facebook.com/events/1154305217912990/permalink/1165574163452762/
Once the orientation is over, we'll all be headed out to various areas in Dallas where we'll provide support for the Homeless and we don't want to leave any of our volunteers behind.
If any of you have served in helping the homeless, you've come to know that many of them once had good jobs, families, and a life very similar to our own. Many fell to difficult circumstances which spiraled into their current situation. The stories you hear are heartbreaking and very real as it could have been any of us. Through Operation Care and us volunteers, many of the Homeless will find strength to overcome their situation as well as help others in doing the same.
We hope you'll come out this Saturday and provide encouragement and support for those that just need a helping hand. Thanks for reading and hope to see you on Saturday morning!
