2/24/2016 0 Comments A Conversation Between A Christ Believer And A Curious, Questioning Non-BelieverTHE BELOW IS A CONVERSATION BETWEEN A CHRIST FOLLOWER OR "BELIEVER" AS THEY'RE CALLED, AND SOMEONE STILL LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT ANSWERS IN ORDER TO BELIEVE IN JESUS, OR A "NON-BELIEVER' AS THEY'RE CALLED.
NON-BELIEVER: You'll have to be patient with me on Christianity. There was a period in my life where I did look into other religions - mainly Judaism and Islam - to see where the differences were from Christianity. I thought that if multiple religions said similar things that I could agree with those points and where they differ with each other are the areas which I need to rationalize. The core issue that I struggle with in religion - and specifically Christianity is the need to believe in Jesus to go to heaven. BELIEVER: The need to believe in Jesus in order to be saved on Judgement Day is because Jesus was God himself in flesh and human form and he showed himself after his death on the cross to people of his time including his 12 disciples who speak about him and his teachings in the bible. Jesus came as a man in order for people of his time in history who worshipped other Gods and Idols to relate to him as a man first "The man Jesus" who was born of a Jewish virgin mother "Mary" because he needed to show people he was one of their own people who was not this distance God that they can't see, touch or talk to in person; all of which they could do with Jesus the man but that he was still different from them and not just a human like that them at that time but born of a virgin like no other man and able to perform the miracles and raise himself and Lazarus from the dead like no other regular man could do was his way of showing people that he was God himself and anyone who saw and believed in him as the one true God would be saved and accepted by Christ God when he comes back for those of use who already believe in him on Judgement Day to go to his eternal heaven with him. So if we don't believe in Christ’s teachings AKA God’s teachings from when he was on this earth as quoted in the bible, then we’re by default not believing in God therefore not going to be saved on judgement day to go to heaven because the bible specifically says only those who believe in my Son Jesus AKA God who showed himself and his powers while on earth will have everlasting life with him who is also God the father in heaven after life on earth (He was known as the Son of God when on earth, and known as God the Father in heaven, and his Holy Spirit is what works in those of us who believe in who he is and learn how he works in our lives by having faith in his spirit to work in us.) The 3 trinities or forms of God are known as: 1. Father in Heaven God, 2. Son Jesus on earth (also God) and 3. the Holy Spirit of Jesus after death also God’s spirit. (God says in John that only those who believe in the son he sent to believe in his new laws in the new testament of Jesus, unlike the old laws in the old testament of Moses & the Torah for example you no longer need to sacrifice lambs etc in order to worship God like God had told Abraham in the old testament to sacrifice a lamb in God’s name if he believes in God. However the book of Hebrews in the old testament also told the Jews a foreshadow that there is going to be another to come who would be Jesus Christ except his name was not given at that time to the Jews so when Jesus was born and grew into the adult teacher he was the Jews didn’t believe him to be the savior that the book of Hebrews before their time had prophesied about. So Basically in the book of Hebrews it was teaching people of God’s new promise aka covenant to come which God made with us in the new testament bible using Jesus as God in the flesh; that if we believe in the God the father who crucified and resurrected Jesus and believe that the resurrection happened in order for us believe in his work, then we believe in this One True God who says as long you believe in the reason for the death and resurrection, then all things in your life are made new and there is no need to sacrifice lambs in his name any more like God had originally asked people to do in the times of Moses/Judaism/Old Testament to prove they believed in him before Jesus came. ---As a Muslim friend has explained that, the difference in the religion of Islam is that Muslims believe that Jesus was only a prophet who God spoke to and they do believe he was born of a virgin mother and they believe in the miracles God the father allowed him to perform as a man and that HE IS THE ONLY Prophet / PERSON RETURNING TO SAVE US ON JUDGEMENT DAY. So then ask yourselves why do they believe Jesus is the only one with the power to come back and judge us yet they don't believe in him as our direct Savior rather than following the teachings of Mohammad a man who existed after Jesus yet they don't believe he's the one who will be back to judge them Only Jesus? That part doesn't make sense in my opinion as far as their belief system it seems like their a bit confused on the core information. Muslims believe in everything the same as Christians up until the point of the crucifixion. **Muslims don’t believe Jesus was the one crucified on the cross, they think it was another criminal like the other two thieves on the crosses next to him that took the place of Jesus’s on the cross, and not Jesus himself. They don’t believe God has a son or believe Christ to be God in the form of being born as "the Son" part of the trinity as explained at the top, even though Christ is not literally “a son” who was conceived by God like he was of Mary as his mother, but sent by God to be born of Mary the Virgin as the “son of man” which is what he’s called in the book of John. Being born of a virgin is what made him to be shown as not an ordinary human man to the people of that time so they could differentiate that he was the savior who was sent by God for men to believe in the “one true God” who judges us in the end instead of following all the other idol worshiping religions such as Hinduism for example "the oldest idol worshiping religion still in major practice" and other similar religions of that time "Egyptian Gods", "Greek Gods" etc. till now. So in essence by believing in the death and resurrection of Christ who is “God in the flesh” we believe in Jesus and the reason why he was sent and his life’s purpose which is to save people into believing in the One True God himself Jesus. NON-BELIEVER: I struggle with the fact that when I think about someone who does good their entire life but wouldn't get to go to heaven if they don't believe in Jesus according to christian believers. I have yet to meet someone that can help me understand this. BELIEVER: Although we need to be concerned for others, It’s not our place as individuals to worry about where other people go before we even find our own spiritual path and belief, because if we don’t help ourselves first by knowing what we believe in we can’t help others get there either. Once we understand what we believe and why then we can worry about where other people end up whether it’s heaven or hell or somewhere else, and all the answers are above to your questions as to why they would not be saved , it's because they've denied believing in God who was Jesus in human form and flesh when he was on this earth and still is the living God we pray to for guidance because he was resurrected and still alive and coming back for us on Judgement Day. **Are you new to the bible or know less than you'd like, or still have questions and interested in learning more?
