- Focus on connecting with God continuously in prayer. This is not easy for most of us to do with our every day responsibilities to our jobs and families, but those of us who can master this will see how it makes a difference in how we start prioritizing the things and people in our lives that really make a difference in enriching us and our lives rather than getting caught up with the people and things of this world that don't enrich our lives from God's perspective. If we start looking at everything we do and think about from God's perspective and if it's something he would agree with or not for us just as a father would to his children, everything else falls into place and becomes clearly understood.
- It helps to memorize this bible scripture: 1 Corinthians Chapter 10, verse 13 - The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. (see below) (as long as your focus is on God through a verbal relationship called praying, it helps remind us subconsciously to stay on the right path of being more like him the perfect one who created us or "to be in his likeness" which is what he requests of those of us who understand him and his ways, "so we can be more like him, and make our creator proud to have come into his understanding")
