MASSAGE TYPES TO CHOOSE FROM: SWEDISH RELAXATION MASSAGE: (Swedish massage is the basic style of massage, and uses firm but gentle to medium pressure to promote relaxation. Various hand movements are used to break up muscle stiffness and increase blood circulation which then relaxes the muscles, body and mind stress at the same time. You can state your preference for pressure from light, to medium during Swedish massage session. If you need much deeper pressure then, try the Deep Tissue Massage below) $45.00 - 50min. (get 1 50min. Swedish session for $20 After every five sessions of any 50min. or longer session) $70 - 80mins. $100- 100mins. DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE: (For Regular Hard, Stiff or Sore Muscles in the Upper Back/Neck/Shoulder areas. This is generally due to sitting at a desk all day which causes slouching in the chair due to poor lower back support (and not keeping the back straight at all times). This causes the the upper and lower back/ & shoulder/neck muscles to get stiff and tight allowing for that sore back feeling. Hunching over a desk for hours is also bad posture and curves the back bone vertebrae/spinal cord causing pressure and pain. Looking down at a keyboard frequently stiffens the neck/shoulder muscle areas as well, so it would be best to keep the keyboard as close to your eye level without having the raise your elbows to type (elbows have to remain down at all times). While driving hold the bottom of the steering wheel instead of the top since that makes you raise your shoulders up causing them to get tight and sore. Men keep your wallets in your front pocket at all times because sitting on it for hours or while driving in your back pocket will cause hip and leg alignment issues as well as blood flow issues in the leg+pelvis which can cause sciatica (regular pain in the legs and can cause varicose veins)Stretching the legs and the over all body when you start feeling tight on a weekly basis will prevent the muscles from getting tight and painful. It's important to start doing this in our 30s and older avoid other physical and health problems. $70- 50min. $90- 80min. $120-100min. SKIN EXFOLIATING MASSAGE: (Using a Salt Scrub mixture to rub and exfoliate away dry/dead skin during yourSwedish massage, then using hot towels afterwards leaving your skin baby soft.) $80- 50min. $120- 100min. POST-NATAL Massage (for females after baby delivery): (Swedish Massage focuses on relieving the pain in the back, neck and shoulder which tend to stick around from after delivering a baby and while handling an infant or carrying a small child around for hours a day) $45- 50min. $70- 80min. $100- 100min. CHILDREN'S & TEENAGE SWEDISH MASSAGE (age 5-18): (Helps a child mentally focus in school and on their homework and studying for tests since massage therapy will help them sleep better and get rid of any mental stress, which will allow them to relax and focus on their daily routines.) $40-50min. MASSAGE & MEDIATION COMBO SERVICE: (Offering One on One Certified Mediation Services during your Massage Session. What is Mediation? Discuss whatever topics of interest which are causing you mental distress and receive feedback to help resolve your problems). I can also meet with the other party one on one if they desire to sign up for a session and if you both prefer a separate mediation session together you can sign up for this at www.dallasmediatorservices.com $90-60min. $120-80min.

And, we provide a wealth of local and national networking and continuing education opportunities. Mission StatementTo serve AMTA members while advancing the art, science and practice of massage therapy. Core Values
1) Swedish Massage TherapySwedish Massage is the most common type of massage therapy in the United States. It is known as Swedish massage or simply massage therapy.
Massage therapists use long smooth strokes, kneading, and circular movements on superficial layers of muscle using massage lotion or oil. Swedish massage therapy can be very gentle and relaxing. If you've never had massage in Frisco at Indo-Pak Massage Therapy before, this is a good one to try first. 2) Aromatherapy MassageAromatherapy massage is massage therapy with the addition of one or more scented plant oils called essential oils to address specific needs. The massage therapist can select oils that are relaxing, energizing, stress-reducing, balancing, etc. One of the most common essential oils used in aromatherapy massage is lavender. Aromatherapy massage is particularly suited to stress-related conditions or conditions with an emotional component. Learn more about aromatherapy massage. 3) Hot Stone MassageHeated, smooth stones are placed on certain points on the body to warm and loosen tight muscles and balance energy centers in the body. The massage therapist may also hold stones and apply gentle pressure with them. The warmth is comforting. Hot stone massage is good for people who have muscle tension but prefer lighter massage. Find out more about hot stone massage. 4) Deep Tissue MassageDeep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. The massage therapist uses slower strokes or friction techniques across the grain of the muscle. Deep tissue massage is used for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems, or recovery from injury. People often feel sore for one to two days after deep tissue massage. Learn more about this style of massage: Deep Tissue Massage. 5) Shiatsu Shiatsu is a form of Japanese bodywork that uses localized finger pressure in a rhythmic sequence on acupuncture meridians. Each point is held for for two to eight seconds to improve the flow of energy and help the body regain balance. People are normally pleasantly surprised when they try shiatsu for the first time. It is relaxing yet the pressure is firm, and there is usually no soreness afterwards. Find out more about shiatsu. 6) Thai MassageLike shiatsu, Thai massage aligns the energies of the body using gentle pressure on specific points. Thai massage also includes compressions and stretches. You don't just lie there--the therapist moves and stretches you into a sequence of postures. It's like yoga without doing any work. Thai massage is more energizing than other forms of massage. It is also reduces stress and improves flexibility and range of motion. 7) Pregnancy MassageAlso called prenatal massage, pregnancy massage is becoming increasingly popular with expectant mothers. Massage therapists who are certified in pregnancy massage know the proper way to position and support the woman's body during the massage, and how to modify techniques. Pregnancy massage is used to reduce stress, decrease swelling, relieve aches and pains, and reduce anxiety and depression. The massage is customized to a woman's individual needs. Learn more about pregnancy massage. Mothers can get a post-natal massage after delivery at Indo-Pak Massage Therapy. 8) ReflexologyAlthough reflexology is sometimes called foot massage, it is more than simple foot massage. Reflexology involves applying pressure to certain points on the foot that correspond to organs and systems in the body. Reflexology is very relaxing, especially for people who stand on their feet all day or just have tired, achy feet. 9) Sports MassageSports massage is specifically designed for people who are involved in physical activity. But you don't have to be a professional athlete to have a sports massage. it's also used by people who are active and work out often. The focus isn't on relaxation but on preventing and treating injury and enhancing athletic performance. A combination of techniques are used. The strokes are generally faster than Swedish massage. Facilitated stretching is a common technique. It helps to loosen muscles and increase flexibility. 10) Back MassageSome massage clinics and spas offer 30-minute back massages. If a back massage is not expressly advertised, you can book a 30- or 40-minute back massage at Indo-Pak Massage Therapy and ask that the massage therapist to focus on your back for the length of time you desire. 11) Reiki Massage Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. It is not a rigorous massage like Swedish or other styles. It's simply putting the hands on the body at different points and letting the energy of the massage therapist flow through them to the area being touched to help heal it. It is not recommended for tight muscles which need deep tissue work. Reiki would be more of a mental and spiritual relaxation massage. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well being. Many have reported miraculous results. Calling all CrossFit lovers and enthusiasts! Need a serious massage after your weekly workouts? Need an affordable massage routine? "Getting a massage once a month really loosens up tight joints and muscles before and after workouts to stretch and lengthen those muscle fibers and allow you to push yourselves in lifting and bending even harder without as much difficulty due to those muscle fibers becoming short and tight which stretching alone will not always make up for, especially once the muscle fiber knots start to form and build up over time from working out, and bad sitting or sleeping posture in general."
